Christopher Ryker Joins GIM as Sr. VP & Portfolio Mgr

INDIANAPOLIS (July 2008) – - – Christopher A. Ryker has joined Goelzer Investment Management as senior vice president and portfolio manager. He will report to Brett D. McKamey, president and chief operating officer of the Indianapolis-based investment advisory firm. Ryker, a chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) as well as a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA), will serve on the firm’s Investment Review Committee and the Investment Policy Committee. Goelzer Investment Management, founded in 1969, independent and employee owned, currently provides investment management and financial consulting services for the benefit of over 400 individual and institutional clients with $1.5 billion in assets.

Before joining Goelzer, Ryker was a vice president and portfolio manager of National City Bank’s Private Client Group from 2001 to 2007, where he directed client equity and fixed-income investments worth $655,000,000 in market value. Previous to his position at National City, Ryker was a vice president at Trust Investment Advisors of Indianapolis responsible for equity analysis, trading, strategy and portfolio management from 1992 to 2001. Ryker began his investment career with the State of Indiana’s Department of Financial Institution in 1980 as a bank examiner. In 1983 he joined Indiana Bancshares of Greenwood where he served as its vice president and controller as well as managing investment portfolios, mortgage sales, bank accounting and regulatory reporting.

Born in Madison, Indiana, he was raised in the nearby community of Oldenburg and graduated from Batesville High School in 1976. Ryker is a 1980 graduate of Indiana University where he earned his B.A. degree in Business Economics and Public Policy. He is also a 1990 graduate of the three-year School of Banking in the Advanced Bank Management Program of the University of Wisconsin.
